“GIANNI BRERA” GYMNASIUM
Castel Mella, Brescia, IT, 2006The gymnasium building structure is like a shell made with load-bearing elements in reinforced concrete and wooden slats, covered with insulated laminated wood and coated with aeruginous aluminum plates. The gymnasium is located in the north of a vast area destined to public green, to the east of the school campus, to which it is connected by pedestrian ways. In addition to the entrance hall, you can find: a basketball regular sized gym with a 200 seats tribune for the public, toilet, a volleyball regular sized gym, a gym with all gym equipment, two gyms on the first floor equipped with changing rooms with double bathrooms and showers for players, referees, professors, a storage, offices, an infirmary and technical rooms. The natural lighting is obtained by large vertical windows on two main fronts.
